Robert - April 2004

We went to the zoo this week. Appropriate, because Robert's a little monkey. Here's a monkey looking pleased with himself after he stole a half-eaten apple from mom.

He was interested in the camel but a little freaked out when the camel returned his interest.

Rocking out in the deer pen

A lot of walking in the goat petting area.

Checking out the meerkats.

Not exactly a zoo animal - a 10 foot stuffed snake from Ikea.

Some things were even more fascinating than the animals, such as the rope in the deer pen, and the floor lighting in the aquarium.

One of the best things at the zoo was this bridge, suspended about 15 feet above some the ground. It wobbled like mad and there were kids underneath riding bumper cars. We did many laps on it.

With his Walter Cronkite face on, reporting on serious happenings at the sea lion tank.
